Adrenalin Quarry AquaPark

Thank you for coming to read our review of our day at the Adrenalin Quarry AquaPark. During our weeks holiday in Cornwall in April we visited Adrenalin Quarry‘s AquaPark.

Where is Adrenalin Quarry and what can you do there?

Adrenalin Quarry is located near Liskeard in South East Cornwall and is home to a number of activities. These are:

Zip Wire – Soar over the flooded quarry on twin cables

Aqua Park – Southwest Englands largest AquaPark.

Open Water Swimming – Open water course for experienced swimmers

Go Karts – Adult, youth & junior karts. Massive 800m track.

Giant Swing – UK’s tallest swing!

Axe Throwing – Like darts, but with axes.

Our visit to the AquaPark

We opted for the Aqua Park as our 6 year old has wanted to do it for ages but 6 is usually the minimum age so she’s not had the chance until now. We booked her and Dave (my husband) in for a 45 minutes session and me and the 3 year old watched on.

Tickets were easily booked online and cost £20 each, this includes a wet suit until the end of June (after then you can still wear one but you’d have to provide it yourself). Everyone is provided with a bounancy aid. You’ll just need swimming costumes and a towel. Due to covid the shower blocks are closed so you need to get changed outside. There was plenty of space outdoors and we made sure to arrive ‘pool ready’ so it was easy to get ready. In the waiting area there are lockers for your things or the car park is nearby.

A the moment there are some specific procedures in place due to Covid-19, see here. We didn’t find it affected the experience at all for us.

Upon arrival Dave and our daughter were given a wetsuit and life vest. We then had to wait for a little while until our time slot, at which point they were given a briefing and then led down to the aquapark itself.

AquaPark Session

The aqua park was huge and made up of all sorts of inflatables, slides, swings and trampolines. They both loved it, despite feeling the cold after 45 minutes! We both agreed 6 was a good minimum age as she did need a bit of help getting onto things. They both had a fantastic time and absolutely loved it. They also both felt 45 minutes was about right as it’s quite physical and at the time of year that we went, was cold!

I had water shoes ready for our daughter to wear back to the lockers which I was pleased I did as the walk was a few minutes and the floor was stony. She was really cold when she got out so we wrapped her up in towels and my coat. Worth remembering if you go during the cold months to have something warm to wear afterwards.

Conclusion

We had a brilliant morning there and would definitely do it again. Next time I’d like to do the zip wire, it looked brilliant! Thanks for reading our review of Adrenaline Quarry – Aqua Park.
