We visited South Korea in April 2023 and from the moment we landed we fell in love with it. However, it can be challenging with the language barrier, and that some apps we often use in the UK not being available out there. Since returning I’ve been asked many times what we used. From navigation and language translation to food discovery and transportation, this article will introduce you to 9 useful apps that will make your time in South Korea more enjoyable and stressfree.   1. Naver Maps (네이버 지도)

Navigating South Korea’s cities and countryside is a breeze with Naver Maps. It offers accurate and detailed maps, real-time traffic information, and public transportation schedules. Naver Maps is available in English and Korean.

KakaoTalk is South Korea’s most popular messaging app. It allows you to send text messages, make voice and video calls, and share multimedia with friends and family. You can also use it to connect with local businesses, make reservations, and order food.
