Cluedo 2 Stage play – A Review
Ad. I was gifted these tickets in return for my review. All opinions are my own.
We went to see Cluedo 2 at the New Victoria Theatre in Woking. Set against the backdrop of an old English estate, the show brings to life the classic board game with clever sets, brilliant casting, and a fantastic script.
Cluedo 2 transports the audience into a world of suspense and intrigue. Everyone knows the board game and the weapons, rooms and characters are all woven into the story in a really clever and funny way. The witty script has the audience laughing throughout, with the odd jump thrown in.
The changing sets are ingenious and you feel like you are in the Manor House with them. When they move from room to room, you feel you move with them. It was one of the cleverest plays I’ve ever seen.
The cast of characters is equally impressive, with each actor bringing their role to life with skill and individuality. From the enigmatic Miss Scarlett who is played by Ellie Leach of Strictly Come Dancing and Coronation Street fame, to the mysterious Colonel Mustard, every character is portrayed exactly how you expect them to be from the Board Game and they do a brilliant job of keeping the audience guessing until the very end.
The script is cleverly written, with plenty of twists and turns to keep you intrigued. As the plot unfolds, secrets are revealed, alliances are formed and broken, and you find your suspicions shifting from one character to the next. Just when you think you have it all figured out, a revelation will turn everything on its head, which leaves you guessing until the very end. I highly recommend you go and see this brilliant show.
