Crockford Bridge Farm Pumpkin Patch
The time of year for cosy nights, pumpkin spiced lattes and ghosts and ghouls is almost upon us again. In recent years the Halloween season and everything that comes with it has been growing and growing here in the UK. It’s a really fun season to get involved in and there’s brilliant activities to do with children, friends and family. Read on for everything you need to know about a visit to Crockford Bridge Farms Pumpkin patch.
What is it?
Local to us a well known pumpkin patch is at Crockford Bridge Farm in Addlestone, Surrey. An event that started off as fairly small a few years ago has grown into a ‘must do’ for people near and far. Celebrities travel to get their perfect instagram shots and families arrive in full pumpkin regalier ready for a day of fun.

When can we pick pumpkins at Crockford Bridge Farm?
The Pumpkin Fields are open for Pumpkin Picking on the dates below. After this time all remaining Pumpkins in the fields are harvested due to the risk of ground frost damage. Booking is essential.
1st October to 13th October 2022.
(Take cash to avoid queues. The tills are in a field and whilst there is 4G, it can go down.)
How much does it cost?
It is £4 per person of any age (plus £1.50 booking fee), under 1s go free. To book click here. The cost of the voucher will be deducted from the cost of the Pumpkins picked on the day.
There are wheelbarrows to collect your pumpkins but its advised you bring your own carrier bags to take your pumpkins away. No dogs and no buggies allowed.
Can I just buy Pumpkins without picking them from the field?
Yes, there is a Pumpkin market open from mid October after the field picking has finished. It is strongly advised to go early in this period as you can as they always sell out (and the best ones will get snapped up!)
There’s no need to book for the Pumpkin Market, just turn up.
They advise you keep an eye on their social media outlets for updates about the crop and availability, especially if you’re making a long journey to visit! Click here to go to their Instagram page.
What is the Pumpkin Festival?
For those who really want to throw themselves into all the best that Pumpkin season has to offer, there isn’t much better than the Pumpkin Festival at Crockford Bridge Farm.
When is it?
Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th October 2022
Saturday 22nd and Sunday 30th October 2022

9.30 – 12.00
12.30 – 15.00
15.30 – 18.00

What is there to do at the Pumpkin Festival?
- Pumpkin Carving and decorating area.
There is a large Pumpkin Carving area, and apparently this year it will be even bigger. There’s loads to do including knife free decorating for little ones. There’s even a chance to win prizes for your carving and decorating skills!
- Fun Activities
Lots of fun things for children and adults to try, why not give the pumpkin shy a go!
- Thousands of Pumpkins and Squashes
Browse thousands of pumpkins laid out for sale. These range from tiny squashes (my personal favourite) to huge pumpkins. There is something for everyone.
As well as the above there are countless photo opportunities, Pumpkin displays and arty installations.
Food and Drink options
- Ice Cream Parlour
Open serving a huge range of incredible Italian Gelato from nearby Geleteria Danieli. This year, the Ice Cream Parlour is only open to Festival Ticket holders to reduce queuing and maintain distancing.
- Tea Shack.
Enjoy a warming hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows, Farm Fresh apple juice direct from the tap, Home made soup, Halloween chocolates and Toffee Apples (while stocks last). This year, The Tea Shack is only open to Festival Ticket holders to reduce queuing and maintain distancing.
- Pop Up Food.
They also plan to have some pop up food there this year, details are to be confirmed.
Anything else?
There is plenty of parking in the field but the earlier you get there the better spot you will get – plus when we last went we queued to get in and were quite far back. Getting there a bit before your time slot really pays off.
It can be wet, and it can be muddy so dressing appropriately is advised.
Unless visiting the Pumpkin Market (for which you don’t need a ticket), booking is essential.
There is a large garden centre next door, with a great cafe.
